Santa Fe, New Mexico "Not-A-Reunion" 2025

Maybe it's time to plan getting together once again... Time to see if some of us can make a three day "Not-A-Reunion" or maybe a little longer. It is difficult to explain the joy we can give to each other reuniting in our 80th year. There is interest and believe that Santa Fe, New Mexico would be a wonderful venue for a gathering... this fall of 2025. So it is time to begin wishing and planning to make this happen.

So what is a "Not-A-Reunion"? Basically it is mearly a bunch of interested classmates that plan to find each other in the same place at the same time with casual plans. It is NOT an offical Reunion. The webmaster is not in charge. The class website is useful to faciltate the gathering. We did this in Portland, Oregon twice with differnet classmates before COVID and for those that came enjoyed it. We've done them in Florida as well. It could be as simple as a group dinner or meet and greet gathering or more organized. These things evolve.

Why Santa Fe? well that's an easy one... Those of us that have visited Sana Fe recently as in my case or in the past have loved our visits and those that have not yet have heard so and importantly it has so much to offer that we will truly enjoy. The Santa Fe Old Town Historic District is a great focal point for classmates to plan their visit. Choosing a hotel in that area is a really good idea. Santa Fe Old Town is compact and walkable and is good value for such a unique location.

Santa Fe, New Mexico’s capital, sits in the Sangre de Cristo foothills. It’s renowned for its Pueblo-style architecture and as a creative arts hotbed. Founded as a Spanish colony in 1610, it has at its heart the traditional Plaza. The surrounding historic district’s crooked streets wind past adobe landmarks including the Palace of the Governors, now home to the New Mexico History Museum.

Over the years many of us have extended our stays at our off year reunion and "Not a Reunion" locations. Considering this, the Santa Fe location is great for extending your stays to explore one or more features of the norther New Mexico Santa Fe area... a visit to Taos, Los Alamos, Albuquere. All under sixty miles... just a little further afield from the core location of Old Town. The Old Town Area is perfect for three days as there is so much to see and enjoy least of which will be catching up with each other once again.

We do know we have a core number of classmates that are very enthusiastic about Santa Fe. If this gathering appears attractive to you please contact the Webmaster to let me know you to are interested in attending and keep checking this section of the website for more info updates.

What you need to focus on now is choosing your dates. Below is a 2025 September Calendar for you to focus on. Classmate planning to meet are focused on September 18 - 29 dates and in particular Monday September 22 through Friday September 26 .If this works for you make your plans and let me know you will be joining us.

Please check your calendars and email me below which dates work best for you. Once we have that imformatiion we can start to make firm plans. In the meantime I'll be updating this section of the website with more Santa Fe information.

Shopping

Bring the credit cards. Know your grandchildren's T shirt sizes. Have a little Southwestern project in mind back home. How about some Mexican tile beverage coasters... Hmmmm... Santa Fe is a shopper's bonanza.

Music on the website

From classical to mariachi to Plueblo Indian, Santa Fe's music scene is as diverse as its history. Enjoy free music on the plaza all summer long at the Plaza Bandstand as well as on Saturday at the Railyard Market. There's also plenty to see and hear at any of our bar and grills. And classical performances year round at the historic St. Francis Cathedral and Loretto Chapel.

The music player below features different artists and genres on each of Santa Fe's pages offering the wide array of styles popular in Santa Fe and the nation. It's also one of the fun things I get to do working on the website. So visit all the pages and learn about Santa Fe and hear different music as well.
