Proud Father of the Bride...

Is it a Bird... A Plane... No, It's Super Neph!

"So, Jeanine and I wore our best Dwight Howard costumes to the Magic victory over Philly, last night. Amazingly, we were among only a handful of the sellout crowd that wore Superman-like capes, so we had all sorts of attention paid to us by the TV network and the in-house camera folks. The best part was that, since we flew in for the game, we didn’t have to be concerned about a parking spot. Ha ha!" Steve

Pam (Moore) Proctor's Son in Iraq

Pam sent me this picture of her son Mike Proctor, Capt. USMC. Mike is a Marine Aviator.

"Here’s a picture of Mike standing by an oasis on al Asad air base, where by tradition Abraham and his family are said to have stopped on their journey from Ur to Haran to Canaan (Gen. 11-12). This is next to the Euphrates River. By the rivers of Babylon….where we lay down…..and there we wept, while we remembered Zion…(Psalm 137:1)." Pam

Pam later sent me a video clip of Mike. "Here's a 10-minute clip of an hour-long "video feed" from Iraq of Mike last Saturday at his Amherst College reunion. About 200 people -- including WWII and Viet Vets who were Amherst grads -- attended the event, which was organized by Mike's classmate, Adrian Talbott. Adrian is head of "Generation Engage," an organization that aims to involve young people in the political process. The reaction of the audience to Mike's comments and the video was overwhelmingly positive."
