Elaine (Bua) Andersen Celebrates 60th in Venice

"On the subject of 60th birthday celebrations, Don and I spent my 60th birthday in Italy.  We were in Venice on my birthday on June 17.  It helped to take a little of the sting out of the occasion!  As it turned out, it was the best birthday celebration I have ever had!!!!  Happy birthday to my Class of '63 friends!!

Jack Emmer Retires

June, 2005....Army Lacrosse Head Coach Jack Emmer retired after 36 years of coaching the sport. Jack holds the record for the number of NCCA wins at 326. I have watched Jack's career since its start and have always had the greatest respect and admiration for Jack as both a coach and a human being.

Phil Merigolo Finishes the Race

“For my first outing after release from the rehabilitation center, we went to Philadelphia to visit our daughter Jennifer. It is 7 weeks till her wedding.  We had dinner with the In-laws on Saturday evening. On Sunday we participated in the Race for the Cure...Breast Cancer research. I was pushed in a wheelchair by 5 different people over the three mile course.  I did however, manage to walk across the finish line for the camera. Later we visited the church for the big event and practiced walking Jennifer down the aisle.

Pam Harrison Weds Joe Bender

Hi all: I have enjoyed hearing the news from all of you.  Now I have some to share of my own.  On my 60th birthday (March 4th), I was married in St. Thomas.  I have attached some pictures and one of my mom.  I have worked with Joe Bender for over 20 years.  He is now a retired principal from our district.  I am still working for 2 more years.

Steve Nephew Celebrates 35th Anniversary

Steve sent me this wonderful recent photo of his wife Jeanine and him celebrating their 35th Anniversary.

Welcome Aboard to Ginny Simonson Bushart

I had not spoken to Ginny since ....1963. What fun we are having emailing now. This picture is of her husband, Jerry, and her in Paris, France recently.

Kathy Kwiatkowski Madden sent me a half dozen photos of her trip to Vegas where she visited family. I liked this one the best. It's out in the dessert.

The Golf Tournament

Carl Petersen and Kathy Kwiatkowski Madden played in a charity golf tournament in Sarasota, Florida in March, 2005. Kathy played very well. Carl less so, though he steadily improves.

Dianne and I have been corresponding by email for a good many years. Recently Dianne sent me this photo of her and her daughter Anne who lives in England. Two Beauties. Some folks never get older...how do they do this?

February, 2005...We were stunned when we learned of Phil Meringolo's stroke two weeks before we all were to see Phil and Ida at the Mini Reunion in Sarasota at the Petersen's New home. Here Kathy, Carl and Pam wish Phil a speedy recovery.

Early last August Carl and Janet Petersen drove south from Sarasota down the west coast and over Alligator Alley to Fort Lauderdale and pick up Kathy Kwiatkowski Madden and drive north on I 95 while Arline Federico Kern leaves New Smyrna Beach heading south with both parties converging on Vero Beach by noon. No, It's not the 'Mad Mad Mad World' but the Florida Alumns first Mini Reunion hosted by Pam Moore Proctor and her husband Bill.

The Proctors were wonderful hosts with lunch and conversation lasting well into the late afternoon.
